Accessibility in eLearning online training

Accessibility in eLearning is a course designed to educate faculty on how to design and develop their online courses using the concepts of universal design of instruction. Upon completion of the course, faculty should be familiar with various disabilities that they may encounter in their distance courses, and how those disabilities could/would impact the development or facilitation of the course. The audience should also be able to discuss the issues and challenges of online course accessibility, give examples of a range of accommodations that incorporate both active teaching and learning strategies, and have the ability to create new, or revise existing, course documents and materials to be accessible by all.
